Greater Than

Forgive me, it's been a while since my last post. I missed blogging about some pretty fantastic concerts in the fall including The Strumbellas, July Talk, Houndmouth and EL VY. I hope that I am back on track and I am going to set aside an hour a week for writing.

International Women's Day (IWD) is on Tuesday, March 8th and I am lucky to have fabulous and supportive ladies in both my personal life and my work life. I am also fortunate to work for a company that recognizes and rewards the hard work of all the women in the firm. This year's IWD theme at work is "Greater Than". To me, that means to set goals and achieve them - to be greater this year than last.

Honestly, even though I have a few cool projects on the go (#365BridgeProject, Canada 150 Celebration Committee and some emerging ideas for selling my art and photography) I have felt a little lazy. I am chalking it up to winter hibernation.

So, this year, I am setting out to be Greater Than last year. I want to be in better shape, I want to devote more time to being creative, I want to spend less and experience more. I want to put down my devices on a sunny afternoon and explore new trails.

With that in mind, I put together a list of songs about getting shit done, working towards goals and getting better. I have put a little asterisk beside the ones that I like the best!
